53: Expanding our Awareness and Slowing Down

August 7, 2022
We talk Tyler the Creator, Teedra Moses, moving from banking to running multiple businesses and doing it all the slow way, with Mark.

“The mat has always been the safe space I can go to. I can delve into different learnings…and different appreciation of what yoga is beyond what is put out there.”

Mark’s pronouns are he/him, he is an entrepreneur, music lover & connector of people. He likes problem solving and creating a platform for other people to express themselves and thrive. He ensures he has a good work / life balance, which has been bettered since he discovered yoga in 2012.

52: Increase your Creativity by Slowing Down

52: Increase your Creativity by Slowing Down

July 31, 2022
“But then I noticed I was continuously always on, and being always on I noticed that I didn’t have these slow moments, and these slow moments in which I would just turn things off would often give me the moments to be more creative…”

Slow living guide, creative producer, consultant and business owner Priscilla Macintosh joins us sharing about how reaching a pivotal point in her career forced her to slow down. She didn’t give it all up and move to the countryside, she found her way of slow living in the city.

With Adjuma Tribe, her slow living platform, Priscilla helps freelancers and business owners on their own slow living journey. To achieve a more vital and better work-life balance, manage stress, and improve their overall health. In her spare time, she loves art related things, being creative, dancing, being in nature, eating delicious food, and doing absolutely nothing.

51: Slow Living - the not so ‘typical’ way

July 24, 2022
“It creates space around things…I recognise that’s really a key part of me feeling centred and feeling like I can then pour out in the ways I’m choosing to in my day. And also enjoy what I’m doing in my day.“

Slow living on our terms. We invite you into our world of slow living and to muse over what slow living uniquely looks like for you.

50: Radical Acts of Self-Care; Gender, Identity, Healing

50: Radical Acts of Self-Care; Gender, Identity, Healing

July 17, 2022
We talk to Bellatrix about Gender, Identity and how radical acts of self-care can move you further and further away from who you are not.

Bel’s pronouns are they/them. They are a Queer Non Binary Cosmic Anarchist Earth Witch.... or.... musician! There are multifaceted artists, and then there’s Bellatrix. A spellbinding singer and instinctively expressive songwriter, a multi-instrumentalist, a versatile performer and former world beatbox champion, Bellatrix complements artistic wholeness with an inventive, all-encompassing and hands-on creative vision that can’t help but resonate. Starting out as the first professional female beatboxer in the UK, Bellatrix - who now identifies as non-binary - has been a trailblazer in their field and is a fierce advocate for those who are under-represented in their communities. Bellatrix has since been making a name for themself as both a solo artist and a highly sought after collaborator, touring internationally and performing at many of the top festivals and venues across the world. Bellatrix is currently playing bass for Grammy nominated artist NAO, releasing “daring pop” music as a solo artist, and also has a monthly radio show on soho radio. They recently co-created the project “Like Mercury” - a dance/music collaboration with dancer Emma Houston that interrogates exclusionary dominant narratives of success and happiness through a queer lens.

47: Creating is a Constant Process of Letting Go

June 26, 2022
“I really-really understand that there are many experiences that you get to have in different life times, and that you get to also choose the experience that you want to have in this lifetime, and I know that one of my missions…is to learn to let go of things. I’m in a constant process of letting go.”

Vangile is the author of 3 books: Heart, Mind & Money: Using Emotional Intelligence for Financial Success, and The Holistic Wealth Manifesto Workbook, and The Next Level You Money and Womb Journal. She has a finance honours degree from the University of Cape Town and an MBA from the Simmons School of Management. She started her personal finance journey by paying off US$60,000 in debt and living a cash life. She’s a full time entrepreneur and the founder of wealthy-money.com, a company she says helps women of colour heal ancestral money trauma so they can fall in love with their bank accounts, increase income and live their best lives. Vangile is also the host of 2 podcasts: The Money Magic Podcast and The Property Magicians Podcast, an A to Z guide to property investing. She has been travelling for 15 years and has lived in over 12 different countries, building her company as she travels. We talk with her about what creating looks like through learning to let go and letting her intuition lead.

44: The Human Experience of Relating to What Shows Up

44: The Human Experience of Relating to What Shows Up

April 24, 2022
Join us as we talk to wellness architect and Leadership Coach, Martha Cuffy. Her curiosity about how we walk with aliveness and how the body facilitates this has been a source of lifelong fascination. It’s taken her to live in an ashram university for 2 years where she studied for an MA in Yoga Psychology, to other wellness experiences like wild swimming in Wales and designing primal spa experiences in a rainforest garden in Dominica. Perhaps all an antidote to her previous life of MBA studies, working in tech and corporate finance. Working as a certified TRE provider gives her the honour of guiding people into deeper relationship with their own body. To not fear what lies within, but to meet it with vulnerability and sometimes play. Martha’s passion is supporting Black leaders - in various settings from Windsor Castle to online forums to help them gain board positions. She was born and raised in East London, Newham, and has lived in France, Germany, India and Dominica.

Titration means that we slow things down. Slowing down looks like working with only small bits of difficult experiences at a time. Titration is a way to limit potential side effects by taking time to see how your body will react.
